H-Bomb Ferguson & The Medicine Men
H-Bomb Ferguson was one of Cincinnati's greatest Blues/R&B Entertainers that ever lived. During his
earlier days, he traveled with B.B. King and eventually played with George Thourogood, Big Ed Thompson,
Uncle Russell Givens and many others. When he was in his earlier twenties, H-Bomb had a Gold Record
that he recorded in New York. During the 1980's he was well known for his interesting Stage Show by
wearing a variety of wigs, having a Boa Constricter Snake often wrapped around his neck, and doing other
crazy things. Be he was not just known for his interesting Entertainment. He was also known as a great
Songwriter and Musician. H-Bomb's real name was Robert Ferguson. He was a small guy but he had the
voice of a Bomb. That is why he was given his Stage Name of H-Bomb Ferguson. On October 17 of
2006, the City of Cincinnati proclaimed that day as "H-Bomb Ferguson Day". In 2008, H-Bomb was
inducted into the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards Hall of Fame.
The Videos below that I shot at The Madison Theatre were shot with just one Camera. I do not feel that my
Camera Work was the best that day (for various reasons!) but regardless, I am sure that people would
want to see them anyways. H-Bomb passed away a Month after the Performance on November 26, 2007.
When I met him at the 20 Mile House in Landen I found him to be a very kind Man. I wish that I could of
gotten to know him better. Regardless, I am glad that I got to meet him and film one of his last Big
Concerts just before his death. He is not dead in Spirit though. His Legacy will live on!
